Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Redirect funds to keep people

MGO spent millions on their conference a couple of weeks back. The L4 and up crew gets paid trips each year to have fancy retreats. We have people flying in for some stupid Leadership summit, and spend so much on things that do not really matter.

Redirect these kumbaya events into actual products and services, Mr. Stankey.. or just use that to pay / keep people instead of firing them in the name of AI savings.

But that makes sense and doesn’t stroke anyone’s ego…. So the board will have to pass on your idea.

We must build a new HQ to honor the Stink as part of his golden parachute package. We must honor the only “successful” thing he’s done, 5x RTO. Sure everyone hates him for it, but those remaining comply to stay employed. That monument requires additional debt, taking his totals to near half a trillion in failures. Based on his historical success rate, RTO will end in about 18 months. One big final F-U Failure on the way out.

I want to travel again. I used to travel weekly prior to this austerity program we are dealing with now. It was so much fun having the company pay for my hotel, meals, and rental car. I didn't have a care in the world, often eating at Ruth Chris, Mortons and the like for dinner every night.

We are a phone company. We don't need that many workers.

Or... Hear me out.... We can cut more people so I can take even more lavish trips.

@br starting with CEO. Had we simply done nothing but maintain and build fiber the last 6-7 years. We would be debt free and light years ahead of the competition. Instead we are dead last and saddled with debt for the mistakes of one man.

Wishful thinking but those days are long gone (unfortunately).

Once everyone is in a hub these big trips won't be necessary. Another win for the stank

A company should not continue to fund positions no longer needed. AT&T is a business not a charity.
