Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

Glad I'm out

I retired last year and I cannot tell you how good it feels. No meetings, no politics, no layoffs, no pretending to care about things that don't matter. I don't miss the circus at all. Not one part of it.

Glad I’m out too. Started a new role at a competitor. I feel valued and appreciated. Starting over at my age was hard, but I’m not young enough or rich enough to retire. In the long run I couldn’t see myself staying in a place that despises its employees.

I honestly feel more healthy and less stressed after being ISPed. I’ve never been one to bask in power or how much $$ I could make. It seemed rampant at this employer…a lot of toxic, fake positivity. Really more here than any other place I had worked. Not sure if that is the employer or an employee manifested epidemic.

But as stated , it’s a relief being in a place now where I feel great to work. In the end you’ll be remembered for the good you’ve dealt others vs power and money. Those on that path won’t be missed.

@bf , I also regret not taking the VSP. It really boiled down to the not knowing and folks still had faith with the upper echelon. I'm counting down my days....

@bf My fear is what is coming next after her. This dumpster fire is clearly being organized by one of the persons set to take over in a couple years.

Congrats! I regret not taking the VSP. I’m actively looking for opportunities outside this sink hole. As long as PP is leading, we will lack inspiration and direction.
