I know some are gloating about the India layoffs, but you really shouldn’t be. Just because they’re letting people go there doesn’t mean they’ll be hiring here. In fact, it makes it clear that things could be even worse here since they’re laying off people who cost a fraction of what we do. This is not a situation to celebrate.

The fact it hits India is rather a bad sign, means they are not simply offloading work to "cheaper" workers but massively ki-ling of.
@be awww buttercup … open x platform , people are posting every day send indians back home , tax remittence 100%. indians steal job. they scam to get into job. dont feel bad when I comment back. i can say without any doubt half of the oracle need to be trimmed. Situation in govt cloud is even worse. no competion from indians. so no need to solve any thing. just keep openning collab and it is not your problem any more. in regular cloud team , people start their day at 9 from home , do bull sh-t work 3-4 hrs , go in a zoom talk some cr-p to customer , then transfer at the end of the day to next shift. there is some h1b a--hole sitting there to solve it as customer is furious. manager is scrambling. that a--hole will go in zoom and solve the issue while the chair warming lazy piece of sh-t is doing biking after shift. this is happening in every team , day in day out. dont think managers arnt aware of it. they are well aware. on top of it every day i need to hear this cr-p. h1bs are stealing job , they are scamming for job. they are under paid(which is total bs ), or even they are stealing high paying job. i am not being arrogant or racist. this constant bi--hing and racist attacks on me and my community had left a parmanent scar and bitter taste in my mind. so now when ever i get these transferrd work without any actual work being done , i make sure people know what went wrong here. keep up the hate. we will keep our head down and keep performing at the highest level in the company.
I don’t know of anyone who’s happy that folks in India (or anywhere else for that matter) are being let go. We’re all in the same boat. Have some compassion
H1b is secret we-pon of US to conquer world and maintain supremacy. It has been true for all these years. Don't know why people not understanding now. How this much tech revolution came, without h1b or with h1b. We need accept the fact and move on.
Anyways If chatgpt get success with stargate , oracle will lay off more. Otherwise also will layoff more.

people are definitely happy when job loss is happening in India. those are “low wage job” being replaced by AI. people who are talking about AI , has no idea how Oracle AI look like.😂 only fat chair warmers are being let go. good for nothing nonperformers , sitting on same spot over years, dont want to work, dont want to learn new things got to go. there are many other need to be gone as well. there is lot more room. these people when go outside , will not be able to find job, then they will blame AI and indians on h1b. create campains and join brain dead jombie racist anti indian movement on X. no need to upskill or improve. just keep saying h1b is scam and stealling jobs . india lost jobs yee , good for us. etc etc. i feel like watching cartoon movie. even if all the h1bs are gone , these people will not find another job. till they actually upskill, which wont happen , lets be real , if they did not learn a thing in 15 yrs , they wont learn a thang in 6 months. once the gap is more than yr, sorry dude no more IT company for u. but lets keep blaming indian immigrants.
Mass layoffs in India is a bad news for American employees; it means already low wages are being replaced by AI; which means many high paying jobs from USA to get outsourced or being replaced by AI as well

Don't let the fact that there are 1 or 2 very noisy racist trolls in this forum trick you into thinking they're in any way representative. They are not. Nobody here, bar those 2 brainless bowel movements, is happy that another human being loses their job.
I ever worked with some excellent Indian engineers, it so sad to see this layoff.
No one should be celebrating, doesn’t matter what country we live in.. We are all humans, Let’s practice compassion. Remember we all need to put food on the table and we have families to support. Bashing people origin of country is uncalled for. Peace and love..
I doubt anyone is happy when a fellow human being/co worker loses a job.
