What happens if you were offered the ERP but declined it?

I’ve heard that those that declined ERP will be coached out if not producing or RIFed if on the lower level of performance. They will get all the “elderly” people out so when the company crashes and burns they can blame it on inexperience…. Jim knows how to do this folks!

If RIF'd, maybe offered a timeframe to look/apply/be hired for another position within company or one of it's entities or may not be offered this. Severance is 2wks per years of service.

@OP most likely, nothing will happen. Unless you or your team were considered an eligible/critical role, anyone over the age of 50+3 years of service, was offered early retirement. I believe that’s the requirement it changed since the last one. I and several people on my team were eligible. The last time, maybe two years ago, we did not take it, and we are still here. This time, our department was in eligible. Most of the time the severance package is the same as early retirement. This was the first one that I remember that had additional benefits like an extra $5000, full AIP payout and depending on your level, additional severance pay.

Start looking elsewhere as you'll likely be a target and at the top of any departmental RIF list.

You can keep your job or be subject to what every other associate is concerned about.....RIF's.
