As a POC female that’s the size of a 12 yo working in banking as long as I have, I’m beyond used to your type. Why I’m a pacifist, hate the military, and am looking forward to retiring to a country without a “Department of War.”
Did you know some countries decommissioned their militaries and sent all of that funding to college educations for their citizens? F’ing Neanderthal, of course not, and I’m going to continue to try to deprioritize these types of programs due to people like you.

Left to go to a smaller bank. I shopped banks by bringing up a list of the top 100 banks by asset size and started job hunting.
@er are they still around? They were bought by Huntington bank around 2020-ish in my area

I’ve about had it with banking. Looking for something out of the banking sector.
It’s about who you know not what you know. People coming from retail with no previous banking history are placed in leadership roles. And i am in no way shape or form trying to be a hater (not interested in management) but these people are grossly under-qualified.

I haven’t left BofA, but have noticed a trend since COVID-era. If you’re a white male under 35 without kids, you’re taking your chances with startups. More specifically in the gambling sector. 50% have boomeranged back, 25% let go and pursuing a new renaissance career, with less than 25% staying for 4+ years.
Definitely not schilling for the bank as I’ve seen 4 males promoted within the last year that didn’t deserve it. The Military internship I’m sure we get government kickbacks from just promotes people illiterate in the financial industry. But hey, if you join their FLI program (the F stands for Followership, not Fellowship as I originally anticipated then rolled my eyes) as an ex-military member, you deserve the world within 4 years /s.
We’re building a new type of corporate workforce if no one’s noticed? Follow the leader, or else get off the train…especially if you’re not white or male. Every executive photo or town hall invite is likely specifically tied to diversity efforts. Our town halls have never been diverse except for the last 2-3 years. This is all a sham and public spectacle, but you already knew that ;)
