Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Can displacement happen not on the typical Tuesday following a payday?

Thank you.

@b1 Portland was not on a Friday. You can pull the WARN letter filed with the state, they were given notice Tuesday Sep. 30.

Displacements can happen at any time and for any reason. Wells Fargo has created a toxic work environment, and it's FTE's are miserable. Too many jobs have been outsourced, especially to India. What makes you FTE's from India think that you are better that U.S. based FTE's ? You take our jobs, our careers and you contantly create conflict from within. You have absolutely no respect for the U.S. based FTE's. Indian managers are the worst, and I do not trust them as far as I can see them. They manipulate their FTE's and take credit for their work. Their arrogance has destroyed the company from within. My advice to anyone seeking employment by Wells Fargo is to LOOK ELSEWHERE !

Last week was unfortunate but it wasn't huge in scale, 400 or so. More coming soon though, between WEC, Salem, the Barn, Portland tower, and the rest of the sites on the chopping block for 2025. The real question is what happens in 2026. The low hanging location fruit will mostly be gone. I can only assume that they'll start 'consolidating' things like speciality hubs next.

Yes, Tuesday was big this past week but we had slightly elevated numbers Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Could be just a lag in processing or it could be that the displacements carried over because there were so many on Tuesday.
