So come November we have to do 3 days a week in the office. We must work together. Either a) none of us return to office or b) we all return at the office at the same times and really overwhelm the sites. The cafeteria can’t feed us all and there are not enough desks. What do you guys think

@pk Quit, little one, quit.
The email they sent yesterday reads very chaotic and I don’t see this actually sticking. Itll be hard to enforce as well. I laughed at them recommending we come in on Mondays or Fridays.
If you actually read the policy, you can stay onsite for as little as one hour a day for the 3 days and that passes as being compliant. I'm fully remote but if they do ask me to come in, I'll use it as a shopping trip and show up for an hour or 2 then shop on my way home. I am also salary, so I get paid no matter what.
I'm sure all Directors+ will get RTO exceptions.
@245 it didn’t seem to be a problem fitting everyone before the pandemic.
Spring site is actually really small. There’s no way we can fit unless we utilize the IDF rooms.
we dont even have offices lol
THIS IS BS! FIRST THEY SAY I NEED TO START WORKING AT 7AM. NOW THEY SAY I HAVE TO DO THAT AND WORK IN THE OFFICE WHEN THE COMMUTE IS OVER AN HOUR WHEN THEY KNOW THAT I DON’T EVEN OWN A CAR!! THEY ARE PURPOSELY DOING THIS TO FORCE ME TO QUIT!!! F THIS BS POS RTO HYBRID POLICY AND HP!!!!
I left HP in 2023 at the Houston site. The cafeteria was a joke after Covid. Houston site is also a lot smaller than it looks. Front view of the building makes it look long and wide. But the depth of the two buildings are actually are like… 50 feet. Little to no office space. They literally try to cram about 100 people within a 1000 sqft area.

Don't forget Singapore. Many design jobs are moving there.
Wow.. You have to work 3 days a week onsite. There are those of us that have been 4 and 5 days. I don’t know which site you work at but our cafeteria is contracted and HP actually pays to help fund the cafeteria and keep the cost down so that we do have a food option on site. You are hurting no one by not eating at the cafeteria. Our building looks like a ghost town. Writing is on the wall as HP moves more and more to India.
Yeah, zero chance that I spend a dime in or around the office on any day that I'm mandated in.
Since when do they are about what the employees think? Many people don’t eat in the overpriced cafeterias and they will eventually WFR enough so that there are enough desks for everyone.
Not all of us have to do this. Some of us can still do 100% remote.
i think they will do 4 days next year, and 5 days a year after that.
the space problem will be solved, and they do not care if we have food or not.
almost all companies are doing the same thing.
i disagree with this approach but unfortunatelly i think this is where we are headed.
