Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

The Gamble - wait for a payoff ?

How many are waiting for that payoff, that tap on the shoulder, that bonus to leave the sinking ship.

But worse than that, how many are just coasting along without a care in the world, ensuring that the ship will inevitably end up sinking, despite any efforts to trim costs.

Re-Invention, Own-it, no end of the different ‘Emperors New Clothes’ plans.

Face it - if you have any self respect you should call it a day and go get a new job, somewhere you can see a long term career outlook.

As someone who got laid off last go around do not wait. Still waiting on HR to let us know when we will get our severance. COBRA is close to $900 a month just for a single person health coverage only.

@bs its not a private company. its sadly public. For $3 you can be a part owner of said public company….

@as Your comment highlights something so many on this board seem to be unaware. There are lots of people who monitor this board beyond employees in the USA. Our labor laws are far superior to the USA laws. So no not as worried about what to do in a challenging job market as a result of an incompetent executive government that does not protect their people. Honestly, I sympathize with my American colleagues who may be disposed during our company actions amidst a very challenging USA job market whereAmerican law does not provide some safety.

I your prospects are bleak during this administration, they have always been bleak and that will not change.

I love that. “Job prospects are bleak during the current administration”
God I love that. That tells me you are blaming your lack of ability to sell yourself on the current administration. This is a private company that ran itself into the ground. You stayed here and got lazy. You don’t want to work, because you have it easy. Welcome to the real world.
Time to get your butt in gear or get the he ll out. Maybe both. Deal with it.

People could have moved on a couple years ago, but the job prospects during this current administration are bleak.

@aa I suppose, they do give way more than they have to, especially in Canada. But if they don't, would they be hit with lawsuits based on what others got?

Next benefit to be cut will be severance. People (that need to work) waiting for that "bonus" need to wake up. It's not coming.
