As someone who got laid off last go around do not wait. Still waiting on HR to let us know when we will get our severance. COBRA is close to $900 a month just for a single person health coverage only.

Our labor laws are far superior to the USA laws. So no not as worried about what to do in a challenging job market as a result of an incompetent executive government that does not protect their people. Honestly, I sympathize with my American colleagues who may be disposed during our company actions amidst a very challenging USA job market whereAmerican law does not provide some safety.
