Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Layoffs in India

There’s a news article in India that talks about both SAP and Novo Nordisk cutting jobs.

For Novo, the reason is likely because India approved Ozempic (semaglutide) for adults with type 2 diabetes. For SAP, it’s the 1-2% cut to get rid of the dental plaque.

Can someone please share which teams are affected?

Very recently, CK lied about hiring more people in India to work on AI and now this. Can’t really trust the board’s words - I rather pay attention to their actions.

@d3 That is not true. Trust the board. They will do what is best for all of us.

Last year, SAP matched a higher percentage of OWN SAP from October to December. This was only to boost the share price at the time. Otherwise, CK Chuck Norris and his board would not receive extra bonuses. It's unfortunate that the Supervisory Board and Works Council allowed CK and the board to make so much more money last year despite firing people and removing workers' rights. Now we have to deal with this sham Performance Management and changes in MOVE and other programs only designed to encourage employees to leave.

You'll need to hang tight until October 22 for the big layoff announcement. It seems like that's the only way CK Chuck Norris and the board can boost the stock price and snag better bonuses for themselves. From what I've heard, it's way more than just 1-2% a year. Plus, there's a lot of pressure from the US Administration, so you can expect fewer layoffs in the US but more in Europe, Asia, and other regions. The BRICS countries are going to take a big hit, with India likely losing the highest percentage of employees to keep the US happy.
