Heard there were layoffs in different data teams? Master Reference Data team was one of those?
About time his empire is brought down. His MD's are mostly useless, the whole group functions not as data SME's but outgrowths of a compliance/second line who lay out guidelines, without knowing the abc of data, and Nawani and the rest of his herd just follow blindly

@am so you’re an SVP maybe a director - not anywhere near senior enough to know anything about exec politics. Nothing funnier than the expert that has to post their CV anonymously - perhaps occupy yourself with some actual work at your great new job!
@a6 OP here. Nawani or his loser team never had, and never will have, the true capability of laying me off. I can run circles around him and his cohorts in anything that they can claim knowledge of - risk (data risk is a risk stripe treated the same as any other risk stripe under ops risk), data (Governance, Quality, Mastering, Reference, Policies, domain, mesh, fabric...what have you...they won't be able to tie my shoelaces in these topics), consulting (his speciality...BS'ing clients, PPT, buzzwords...been there, done that at PwC's Big 4 competition) or anything else
I left ...on my terms, for a 30K increase on base, 75k total if factoring in bonus. His minions can live in the same sh1thole because most of them are unemployable elsewhere including him...at least in data. If he or his minions can pull in a network favor at some other firm, then that's a different story....but then a thief will always be a thief no matter what...it takes only some time to expose a thief or an incompetent no matter which environment their network manages to get them into for the time being
