Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Relocating from BH to Atlanta

Relocated for the job, but I see its too expensive to buy homes etc here, if I request to be transferred to Atlanta, will they retain the NJ pay or lower it?
As it is long hours, ok pay, no increment, no bonus, job market outside is worse!

Considering the stability of this company and track record of layoffs i would not recommend uprooting your life for this move.

Be careful fiserv will lay you off with out hesitation even after a move. Seen it before.

Your first mistake was "relocating for the job". Sorry, but that was just effing stupid to do that at Fiserv! Better start looking for something else now or you will be SOL soon.

Fibroke will always error on the side of paying less. That is about the only certainty at this place.

I have asked HR this. Your pay will be adjusted based on the location, which means lowered for BH to ATL

@am BS you get paid for the market you are in. your salary will be lowered to the pay appropriate for alpharetta. dont' listen to these yahoos online. they dont know. better yet, why don't you ask your new manager or your hr person

@OP typically your salary is not lowered when you move, but if you are one of the high earners in a lower earning market, you could risk getting lower increases and bonuses to level the playing field. It could also put you on the list when looking to reduce expenses or cut roles. BH surrounding areas are expensive, but if you spread out, you can find cheaper homes. Expect to commute at least 45 minutes though 😌
