Every company I look at is either frozen, shrinking, or only taking a handful of new employees.

No one is going to share with you because that would just be more competition for them.
No one in the US. My company only hires in India or select (cheap) pockets of Europe. Thank God I'm retiring soon, I miss unaccented English.
