Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

CoPilot for HR Case! Ty it.

I have had the most difficult time helping me build an HR case against an SVP who retaliates and regularly attacks me publicly. Copilot has done an amazing job at gathering the facts and putting it together in a nice refined document with proof points. I strongly recommend that anybody else use Copilot to do the same if you were experiencing retaliation of bullying at work.

@ej @ej find out if your state allows you to record conversations and if so - even if only one person must consent - you can be that person - I did it - it worked

@bm I did not even think if that. Thanks! Yes, please do NOT use CoPilot, lest the corporation get onto you before you have enough documentation. I believe someone recommended taking screenshots of your computer screen with your personal cell phone.

Do this instead of taking screenshots using the computer and trying to email them to yourself because you will get caught that way also. But if you use your personal cell phone (not work phone) and snap screenshots of your work computer screen, that is probably the safest way to go.

Then, take all that documentation to an outside employment attorney.

Copilot is the worst idea. Everything is viewable at MSFT, which means is viewable by a SVP. The intent of this post is to out people, don’t fall for it.

@b8 yes, I really do. Hence the suggestion.

Make sure you are keeping your own personal copies of documentation. Anything on company devices or AI is viewable to your management and belongs to the company. I keep CYA screenshots, a journal with meeting dates times and summaries amongst other things that are 100% legal in my one party consent state.

@b3 As a SVP his/her manager is probably a very high up executive. Do you really think if OP is going to have much luck with that?

@OP, have you tried going directly to this person’s manager?

@ag Similar thing here and I am sure for thousands before us. The way I see it, we now have nothing to lose. I say on here and every other social media outlet and with news press, and letters to governing officials, seek to destroy these corporations public image.

In your specific case where you had “signed a legal document saying they will not go after them.” If that just means with lawsuit, then you can still speak out on social media.

I worked for Elevance health for 28 years and brought an HR case against my manager. What happened next was completely unexpected. I was "laid off" by him and brought it to many SVPs and senior management. They said it had nothing to do with the case, and made me sign a document that I would not go after them after getting a disgusting package. Then- one month later they fired my old manager and I am out of a job after 28 years of extraordinary service and commitment.

@a6 Ps. I hope you utterly end the career of that SVP that has been bullying you and most likely other employee!

@a4 Ignore this person’s advice! DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use any corporate hotline to report! That is how they find out who had a problem, get rid of you, and cover things up!

Do like you are doing; document things, then hire an employment attorney (outside the company), give your attorney your well thought out documentation, and let your attorney handle the lawsuit.

Great job, by the way, in using CoPiilot or any means to put together good documentation, as evidence.

I think you are going to end up riffed. Unless SVP is blatantly harassing you in front of your coworkers then you are cooked. Better to call in the new hotline to rat out your coworkers so they don’t know who you are. And don’t use your personal cell phone or company cell phone do they can’t trace it back to you.
