Most "news" organs aren't covering what's happening at WF. Maybe if people called their local newspaper and TV news stations, they would start reporting on WF's "management" approach.

The "news" is more interested in their daily Trump admin cookies. They don't care who is being ki-led illegally overseas or your at home WF problems.

CEO Charlie Scharf said on Wednesday he expects the U.S. bank's workforce to decline further as it focuses on efficiency.
"It's likely we'll have less headcount as we look forward ... we'd like to do much of it through attrition as possible," Scharf said in an interview, noting the bank had 275,000 employees when he joined in 2019 and a little over 210,000 currently.
It won't collapse, it will just be whittled away until no one cares and we offer nothing of value for which there aren't better alternatives. Boomers and employees as customers can only keep this thing going for so long. It won't be long before our customer demographics look like those of 60 minutes.

@a7 Stack ranking, fake performance reviews, unnecessary in-office requirement to satisfy Starbuck's and McDonald's so the company can get its tax-funded grant for RTO mandates, etc. But you're right. Looks like "management" saw this post. You never know which post they will get their pa-ties in a twist about. I guess they don't like the idea of people telling the "news" media how sh---y it is to work at WF.
The bragging about headcount reductions, expense saves, and efficiency gains is DEFINITELY influencing stock price - the analysts are loving it and want to see more!!! As stated by others, no one is hiding anything. It has been openly discussed every quarter for 5 years. This shows up in all the media reporting. Listen to an earnings call once in a while and educate yourself.

@at I think the folks posting and replying here are talking about a few different issues, and these issues are getting lost in all the sarcasm.
Bank workers’ grievances about RTO and productivity metrics will make for a riveting expose. There will probably be a gold rush among local reporters, who are angling for a Pulitzer, to be first to cover the story.

@af share price? You do realize they are very transparent with analysts and stockholders about the layoff plans and expenses.
The regular layoffs alone are news worthy and have the power to influence share price. That is why we get the 2 month waiting period before getting severance. It’s worth it to prevent bad publicity.
Yes, the news will go ballistic and really torch WF once they hear we have to go into an office three days a week FOR A FULL 8 HOURS!!!
