Thread regarding PNC layoffs

The RTO outrage will fade

As much as people are fighting it now, the reality is we'll adapt. We always do. The strong feelings about WFH will soften, and showing up at the office will go back to being the unremarkable default. It's inevitable. Sad but very much true.

@27q The point is to say “aim higher”. We accept our pay and come back year after year. Why would they pay you more? Why pay more for any service than what the provider would accept? Think like an owner rather than a tenant. You’ll thank “that boot licking je-k on that forum I used to visit” in five years.

@ac Yep, that’ll show ‘em. All the impact of hitting a cotton ball with a q-tip. Be sure to complain next year when you get a cr-ppy review and no raise.

@OP

Not from me. I will be there but will put efforts into malingering, unhelpfulness, reducing quality and quantity of output, and wasting corporate resources. All the way to the bitter end...
