Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

CAO

Is this really the second/third email in three months about core locations? Are they actually moving forward this time? It kind of feels like anyone not in a core location might eventually be at risk. Am I reading that wrong?

There are still quite a few people at WEC. I mean...the building is closing in May. This isn't a well-run company.

Yes, it will be an excuse for more layoffs. It gets extra spicy even they start closing hubs. I'm the end, we all go.

Nothing but mind games. They can’t do anything. They failed to enforce RTO and instead people started coffee badging and finding workarounds. Now they are going to try 8 hours in the office and employees will figure out they way to game that too. If you don’t address the core issue nothing will changes. Wells just has too many manager many of which are not colocated with their staff.

@OP from what I'm hearing, CAO may be cutting more people in 1Q 2026 due to location strategy. Especially locations like Des Moines and STL.
