Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

BH remains hybrid, while the remainder of the company is RTO

It’s interesting that leadership continues to allow BH to operate under a hybrid model due to parking concerns, while the rest of the company has moved to full RTO, particularly when flexibility appears to be based on individual manager discretion.

Isn’t parking being an issue essentially the same as someone having a long commute or another employee working very long, nontraditional hours? All of these circumstances can create challenges or inconveniences for employees. If parking concerns are a valid reason for providing hybrid flexibility, it raises the question of why similar flexibility couldn’t be extended across the company rather than being determined by individual circumstances or manager discretion.

BH has about 1600 parking spot - even less if you dont count the handicap spots and the spots in front of the building that only MC and guests can use. Even less when there is an event and they block one of the lots for additional visitors to use.

The building was not built for all the people in it. Originally there were less seats, until they removed eating areas, and lounge areas, and larger empty spaces near windows, to add 100s more desks on each floor.

Even with all of the recent terminations, that building wont ever have enough parking unless a garage is added and that isnt happening. It actually makes more sense to have a smaller office in north east NJ and and another small office in West NJ, which is what I think was had before BH. Or, they can continue being hybrid.

I honestly don’t get this, if the commute doesn’t work for you or you want to work remote go find another job seems pretty simple

Only until the numbers support RTO. There was more than one reason why the parking garage was not built. Eventually through RIFs and offshoring you will be able to force people onsite 5 days.

It's disappointing they are once again being vague on flexibility. Come out with a more defined policy and not "well at your manager's discretion" because we all know how inconsistent that is and the issue of fairness.

You’re talking logic and common sense that seem to be lacking in all top leadership.
