@b1 how long would the transition take from internal cs to a pso partner? If an employee has 1 month or more of vacation does that get paid out, or transferred?
@b1 Also, the $5B reduction is massively used for stock buybacks which is reflected by the stock price increase recently. Well timed for the Q3 earnings call.

@av Because Dan over promised and under delivered on the ability to automate everything by November, but still has to deliver on the $5B reduction, the majority of the company will be transitioned (rebadged) to a PSO (Partner Support Operations) like Foundever (formerly Sitel Group) to handle customer service and sales operations after the spectacular failure of Customer Service AI Agents.
After being rebadged to Foundever, everyone will manage front-line consumer inquiries, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Verizon wireless until AI Agents are more reliable and stop trying to downvote and answer every post on thelayoff website.
Much of the work you know and love will stay the same. The biggest change will be to your compensation, benefits, seniority, managers and peace of mind. And obviously you will no longer be employed by Verizon but since your position was not eliminated, there is no severance because there was no layoff. You may refuse to be rebadged at which time you will have voluntarily resigned and all compensation and benefits will be cease immediately. Because you made you own decision to voluntarily resign, you will not be eligible to apply for unemployment benefits.

Something has "been up" since Dan took over almost a year ago - the changes and the rifs have not stopped. My guess is there will likely be SOMETHING happening on 9/24 - a rif in some part of the biz, maybe a rebadge announcement - although that doesn't need to align with a pay period. It su-ks, but the fact is there will continue to be bombs dropped every few weeks/months for the forseeable future.

What travel freeze? Value has been bragging about their travel online for everyone to see all year! I was greatly inspired by their energy and gloating.
