Are leaders gonna encourage their teams to work from home Thursday…just to enable the people who are impacted to save face? Not have to get “that” call right in the middle of all their co-workers?

My team is going into the office. We are a close group and will be there to support each other if any or all of us are let go.
Thursday is going to be a sad day with many crying faces for those in office. Why would anyone want to go in when you can WFH?
Every team and org operate/approach things differently. Just because your team wasn't specifically told to WFH does not make it hearsay if others are told to do so.
There is zero consistency across the orgs other then the finality of a riff.

This is not hearsay my team specifically has been asked to avoid the office on Thursday.
@a3 Where do you get your information from. This is all hearsay. Unfortunately, we will all learn our fate on Thursday for this round of layoffs. It would appear whoever stays will continue to deal with the constant layoffs until Dan gets his lean company
Teams that will be heavily impacted like some finance teams are the only ones that were asked to WFH.
They don't want a scene that goes to the news, it is not about the employees, no one cares about the employees specially the new CEO and board team.
Why are you going into the office? No one is being forced in.
Talking with several peers from my group and others, none have been instructed to wfh this week, including Thursday.
