This 15000 is only the 1st round of layoffs mostly lower management. The next round in new year will be upper management levels .Its real and happening if you survive this round done get complacent. You need to start preparing getting situated financially mentally and looking for potential jobs. This does not end well for a huge majority of management levels especially once the frontier merger finalizes

Dan wants VZ to be “lean”. Don’t think for one second that he won’t get VZ’s employee base to 50K from 100K. He’s an advocate for AI which will replace a majority of the workforce (successful or not).
@a8 not necessarily. Look at Retail, close as they can be to the customer and they are impacted. What about those selling or managing one product such as BI, VHI, or FWA, Connect, etc. Silly assumptions. Everyone is at risk
I believe there will be multiple rounds, but your theory that this one is focused on lower management (what do you even mean by that, anyway) and the next will be upper management (also undefined), is not aligned with anything that's been discussed thus far, even from folks who appear to be very much in the know.
If you are customer facing, all good. If you are in an office with no customers, mainly deâd meât. Simply as this. Office work is moving overseas across all platforms
What is deemed upper management if the CEO, SVP, VP, AVP & Sr Dir’s are included in this upcoming wave already.
To say mostly lower management is not accurate if you’re saying 15k.
Next round after frontier and possibly after strike.
Reliable Source says that Q1 cuts are coming.
@a2 we even know the one after that and it'll be approx 50%
How do you know there’s going to be another round in January? Is your source reliable?
Fair statement...
