So out of nowhere a large an all in meeting was canceled for the 23rd. This happened after all the rumors about next Thursday, and no message from Sr. Leaders as to the cancellation. 10/23 based on what happened seems accurate based on this event. What's crazy is our head counts is under where it should be and we are all over worked. So if cuts happen... please put me on the list. Im ready for a payout versus getting worked to death, constantly stressing about all the fire drills and leaders freaking out every hour, every day. The only question is what departments are getting hit, im guessing ours is based on the meeting being deleted.

@bt read somewhere - layoff announcement on 3rd week of Nov with effectivity on last payroll cycle of the year. This is just from a grapevine rumor.
An all-hands with Shankar was cancelled/post-poned. I imagine there's a lot in flux. Keep in mind that the new CEO was a board member, not an employee, so he wasn't privy to everything the org was doing operationally.
There's probably a LOT he is learning contextually, and reviewing a lot of data about the Enterprise's operations, so there's going to be a lot in flux for a bit longer.
Funny how there was a cancellation email and it was deleted from the calendar. No trolling, I just check my email and Google calendar. 400+ people were on the invite, people slacked after it was canceled with concerns. I guess we will all see why it was really canceled. My best guess is because of impacts coming to our LOB.
There was never a meeting scheduled in the first place, cuz duh, we never got an email to join it. So now it's "been cancelled". Trolls gotta troll, I guess. What's the point of telling people you're 6'3 and attractive when you're gonna have to meet the person sooner or later anyway?
@bt where did you hear that?
I heard the layoff was moved to November
Value is about to change the colors on the Total Worthless marketing, don’t worry. This will save the company!
Earnings call was originally 10/21, but moved to 10/29 right after the Hans announcement. GN&T suddenly announced an All Employee Webcast on 10/30. Seems like a 10/23 RIF is possible as now it would be before the earnings call and the webcast so that the projected savings can be brought up on the call, and GN&T can talk about how they are moving forward with less.
Earnings is usually 3 week but now 4 week. That's driving the leaders to move their leadership meetings. That's all folks!
Anyone who's been around for a while (like I have) knows VZ HR sends out an email when RIFs / VSP is being offered. They're is never an all hands meeting as an initial communication. Food for thought.
All travel cancelled, cost savings, corp travel is all fully refundable....
Marketing spends a ton of money on travel and big 'leadership' and 'planning' meetings.... time to rein them in.
Our town hall scheduled on 22nd also got canceled.

The meeting was a PSO all day summit. It had been scheduled for months, and was just cancelled abruptly on Friday.
