Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

I’m running out of options

I don’t even know where to look for another job anymore. I’ve tried everything, sent out more resumes than ever, reached out to everyone I know, even looked far outside the box. I’m willing to take lower pay, worse benefits, whatever it takes, just to have some kind of backup if I get laid off. Nothing has worked out. It just makes the worry that much heavier.

Jared kusners VC firm is hiring, try that. They managed to get $2B from the Saudis in 2020, and now bought EA sports with them. Verizon may be next.

Restaurants are always hiring. Retail is hiring for seasonal work. Probably logistics (UPS, FedEx, usps) as well.

@OP Look at the trades.. you may need to start over but at least you will work if you can get in.

Yes, it can be frustrating, and add more to the worrying stress. But you have to regroup and strategize, as the job market has changed probably since the last time you were looking for a job. I know I’m going to sound like a hypocrite when I say this, but you can use AI to help you with your job searching, résumé fine-tuning, coaching even getting smarter on cutting edge technologies. Pretty much all resumes are scanned or pre-scan by an AI model, which is fine because they’re easy to trick. All you have to do is understand what they’re looking for, in-essence hack the model. You got this.
