I tried that several times actually. Every time he says no. I don't know why. I think he doesn't like girls.
I'm so depressed. I want to leave too. But I can't find a job with my skills. Why did I major in CS. Now it all seems like a waste.
I'm leaving too. After a little over a year working here as a software engineer, I see this is going nowhere. To say nothing of the cr#p we're building. Everyone talks about design thinking and they have these advisory boards but nobody really listens to what the users are saying. They already have their user personas and if the real users don't fit the bill, then #@$# 'em. So what's the point? I've already got two offers and I'm on my way out.
I am starting to look. Management demands we learn all these skills and when it’s time for raises they cry poverty. I’m not going to burn myself out so that Alvind Krabanaugh Slob Thomas and the rest of the pipmunks get fat and rich from my efforts
I missed weddings and family events. My weekends and nights were devoted to upskilling. The work is piling up. I was up until 3AM trying to get a project done that was due today . They would not give me a few extra days.
Burning myself out for not even breaking 6 figures isn’t worth it
Upskilling is just IBM's excuse to show you the door to the unemployment line... the Indian employees don't have to deal with this BS, it just applies to the lower US peons.
If you want a raise, you have to make an appointment to see RT, the chief coc-k suc_a.
At IBM these days, you need to stick with the old products that have been making money for the company for decades. The new stuff is useless and will disappear faster than the old stuff.
Just be smart, upskilling is a total waste of time.

All the other stuff you know about Granite, Watson X and Cognos is meaningless trash. No one uses that cr-p any more other than the peons in India.
Granite is a synonym of bullsh-t, Watson X is WINO (Watson in name only), and Cognos is a piece of sh-t that no analyst in their right mind should be using. In fact Cognos is designed by humans who HATE humans. Raise yourself up get out of that IBM shithole!
