Did you just land on planet Earth?

Every Verizon owned device you have is tracked. Don’t do anything stupid.

@es The first thing you do with any device should be to disable location services.

@OP In US GN&T we’ve always been told that our computer activity is being monitored. It could be getting more granular but AFAIK it’s always been there to one extent or another.

I’ll use this opportunity to remind everyone that if your boss is unhappy with you or dislikes you, they’ll use any infraction no matter how small to get rid of you. Conversely if they like you they’ll sweep any mistakes you made under the rug.

@dr You must be new. That’s not how it works at all at Verizon! There’s lots of bias and favoritism.

If you have a concession device, they are tracking your GPS location and I also heard recording your conversations when driving…at least there was an app requesting use of the microphone on my work phone.

@OP Do your job and you’ll have nothing to worry about. Or is that a problem for you?

Been in use in International (certain countries) for the last year or so.
Helping decide who stays and who goes in the latest round of RIFs.
Not implemented in France however (legal reason), hence their numbers are lower than the rest.

@OP What I’ve always love about Verizon’s visionary leadership is that they obsess over whether some underpaid low level IC is working every minute that they’re on the clock while they themselves are wasting billions without a second thought. AOL, Yahoo, mmWave 5G, etc…

Pound foolish and penny wise!

@a5 Of course they do, why do you think your laptop is so sluggish and simple things like copy and paste don't work correctly at times?

Activity tracking has been implemented for decades in any serious enterprise environment...how would you try to keep a network secured without this minimum feature?
