I'm talking about the US. If there were more layoffs here today, we'd have heard about it by now. Right?

"Can we conclude it's finally over?"
Nope, this will continue through October and yes, that includes the US too.
Use your remaining time here wisely.
@am There is a good chance your wish will come true.
@an they're not even bringing the H1B in much anymore, the work is just transferred offshore to be done by what amounts to the lowest bidder country.
It will never truly be over as long as upper management thinks $ can be saved by eliminating people. It's my belief that they're replacing employees with AI in every position where its thought it can be done without anyone complaining, I hope it backfires spectacularly!
@a5 the former RT/CX org once again was affected in this latest (sep/02) round of RIFs.
Tomorrow is a new day.
THIS wave might be done in NA, but give it a week or two and it can start up all over again. Word has it there will be more in October.
I haven't heard much about what's going on in EMEA. I have a lot of friends there and hope they're ok.
Mexico is the same timezones as NA, and count is not moving now. So either it hasn't started in Mexico on September 2nd, or first round already completed.
What about Mexico?

ooops, I forgot about you. let me schedule your 1:1
Yes, American timezone layoffs halted at the moment judging by #general Slack channel participants count.
I think they will move to other regions now. However, there's a good chance it will return back before October, as CX former Rob's org which recently folded under Fusion Chris's org was not touched yet, which looks very suspicious. It was expected to be trimmed the most due to redundancies. On the other hand, Rob was purging CX for years, may be not much meat left.
It's over for US and rest of NA. NA's notification day was the 2nd, with effective on the 22nd.
