Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Fatigued with showing my worth

I don’t know about you all but I’m so tired of having to prove what I do day in and out. I have been asked for accomplishments from this year on a couple of different occasions and for different audiences and I need to map them back to my goals. I also must do a formal documented development plan in workday.

I don’t know what they are being used for, probably to stack rank us and for conversations about our futures. Either way they have created this environment where every little thing makes a person feel like they need to prove and be thankful for a job. Last time I checked doing my job day to day sufficiently should be enough. I don’t know why I typed this. It’s feeling heavy today I guess.

It's constant. Demonstrates how little the executives understand about the business they "run". We told you clowns last year what we were doing, and we're still doing those things. Stop making us waste our time with this drivel.

Titles come and go, money is fake and not backed by anything and your boss goonz to anime after he emails you more things to work on.

You should document for your own sake. Sadly enough, your self-evaluations and accomplishments are used because most (99%) don’t know what to put for evaluations - used to undermine your performance (for some reason outcome and results don’t matter), and lastly some don’t even care and bypass your achievements and put negative reviews to place you in that “needs improvement” group. Real Talk!

Feeling the same way. I have no problem doing my job but the constant questioning of what I’m doing is getting ridiculous. It’s like you have to reapply for your job every day.

Your worth is determined by your physique. Know your place.

@a3 2 IM in a row and you will be let go. Documents everything, review the employee handbook… WF is doing everything they can to avoid paying severances .

Same. Wonder what will happen at my mid year and can’t say I care anymore. After getting an IM at year end out of nowhere with no previous bad ratings somehow I’m still here. While the rating wasn’t given to me until January’s I was essentially told it was coming in November. It’s almost July. It doesn’t take that long to fire someone if you really have a case. It just shows how bullsh-t it all is. There has been no indicator they want to get rid of me outside of that rating. My manager has said nothing and I’ve just continued to do my job. Mo--ns. Can’t even fire people correctly.

Honestly, you would think there's a lawsuit coming for Wells trying to get out of severance/unemployment and using fictitious measures to claim a firing was "performance" related.

You’re not alone. I feel the exact same way. And yes I was asked via email twice this year for accomplishments and $ impact of those accomplishments with no commentary on what it was being used for.

Those two events are in addition to my mid year where I feel pressured to quantify $ savings per project.

If you don’t want me here WF then set me free with severance. If you do, then stop making me feel like you don’t.
