Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Great Leaders Lead By Example

Therefore, I expect Sarah to be the first to take the new Voluntary Separation Program. But we all know she won’t. She got totally outplayed by the Trump administration and now far too many are going to pay the price for her ineptitude.

@b3 sorry to ask but could you shed a little light on this?

So we were asked to come into the office this week as we have been doing regularly since Covid made us work from home, you know for engagement and team building BS… however it’s been less and less to save on costs. Do I dare go in that day?

@aq unemployment kicks in after your severance runs out

Maybe you should hire your tennis coach’s wife to lead enterprise strategy.

Remember, severance is taxed heavily. So you don’t get the full amount. And if you took any 401k loans they become immediately payable unless you establish an alternative payment plan with them.

In archer, you can see the severance policy for vps and “others”

It looks like it’s 2wks salary x years employed in a lump sum if you’re exec, then it’s 1wk x years, then it’s 1wk x .75 salary x years so hooooopefully the vsp is better than those numbers. These are potentially better than unemployment depending on your tenure and pay but because the govt controls job statistics- unemployment is supposedly down and under 5% so unemployment benefits will be lower on top of everything.

@a5 Are you saying if you get an email from Tanya McNally, you are the chosen one or department?

@am Just came through. Got an email another email coming tomorrow with details if eligible. From the feel of the first email, I expect they will offer you a free Uber ride home or the equivalent. Don't expect breakfast after getting sc--wed. 🤣

@a8 everyone will receive an email detailing the voluntary separation offer. From what she said it doesn’t look like they’re targeting anyone – it’s going out to all employees to look at and review and see if it’s something they want to take. although I wonder if that email is going out to all the new vice presidents they’ve hired in the last year or two… Don’t think so!

@a1 how would anyone know that yet? It was literally just announced.

@ae Nah. F--k Sarah and her supporters. She made this company far worse. She needs to leave regardless. It is a failure in leadership. She wasted all our money on AI nonsense that "hallucinates" more than it gets anything right.

@a8 It sounds like everyone will be receiving the email, and at that point, you’ll be able to review your options and decide what’s best. I’m hoping there will be a severance package included as well—I’m trying to stay optimistic. They may also use the list of volunteers to help determine who will be impacted by layoffs.

At least Neidroffs layoffs were aquisition and overlap related. London is laying off people for the love of the game (shareholders)

@aa do you think another CEO will come in and accept less? How exactly would getting rid of Sarah fix this issue? I understand this su-ks but it seems that the “suggestions” on how to fix the issue are purely ignorant and shows there’s little actual understanding of corporate operations.

@OP Why can't the CEO's who make millions of dollars a year be held responsible and let go? It is their failed programs and decision making!!!!

@a2 She really is MAGA? God, it’s worse than I thought. Trump and the GOP have been trying to end the ACA and gut Medicaid for years. How on earth could she think that would be good for business???

She and her people touted how good this administration would be for us, and walked right into the cuts for our own programs. Then she fell for the dupe to dump tons of money into worthless, unprofitable AI programs.

She and her buds bled us dry, and are like "look how great we are warning you about mass layoffs."

Kick rocks, Sarah.
