Oh come on...now you are just taunting me.
It is gonna be all I can do to not BEG my manager for this special recognition tomorrow!
It is only 5.4 weeks + 4, but I will not quibble (further).

@hv Plus the time between when you got the news and Sept 22, which is about six weeks. In past layoffs it was common that the day you were told was your last day on payroll and your insurance ended. So you are basically starting with 10 weeks (6+4) plus 1 week for every year of service.
4 weeks for first year of employment. One more week for each additional year of employment. Maximum is 26 weeks of pay.
Are you sure vested stock has to be withdrawn within three months? I thought that’s only for stock options. Please read the RIF faq email they sent
Any ex-PeopleSoft folks here who got laid off? Were your PeopleSoft years included in your severance package?
you get a 4 week pass and then 1 week pay for every year with the company up to 26 weeks, then add you vacation time on top of that
@d5 yeah pretty much same here.
@d7 I had a bout 40 minutes
Not even joking - for me, that would be a dream.
@d6 No work,
@d6 just getting paid and access to insurance. After that cobra and severance. My access was shut off right after the notification this morning.
I just realized that was probably a d-mb question, as there have been other comments of how quickly access is taken away once the news is delivered.
@d5 Sorry for the impact to your life. If I may though: You said "on payroll till"...will you be working, or just getting paid?
On payroll till sept 22nd then 21 weeks
20 years / M4
@az why would you have to withdraw them? That doesn't make sense. Once they vest, they are ordinary stock.
@ba If that is correct many will get this year's RSU's vested
Full pay till Sept 22 then severance pkg

Last working date / payroll date? (In the US)
I thought if you are within 30 days of stock vest you still get it?
@ax All unvested shares will be cancelled. For the shares that have already vested, you must withdraw them within 3 months. That is the trick of this...... its just a trick.
What about pending stock grant? Do they get canceled or vested?
Was termination effective immediately? Or is it at the end of the month?
How about insurance? I recall that the used to give one month of COBRA.
How do you return equipment if you're remote?
Oracle pays 2 weeks for the first year and every year after is one week .
@OP 1 week severance per year at Oracle + 1 week.
Omfg the OP is clearly asking how many weeks did they pay you for. $4k severance means nothing. So did you get 2 weeks base pay plus a week per full year served. If you can’t answer this then I’m not surprised you were RIF’d
@a3 $4,00 after working for Oracle 9 years?????
Sparta/OCI 9 years
$4,000 severance
@a1
I mean did they do so many weeks of pay per year?
OCI - 3 YOE
10k severance
