If you had Michele’s ear, what’s one change you’d want her to make?
For me it would be stop promoting the people who make you comfortable and start protecting the ones who tell you the truth.

@ad if PM wasn't around we would be in the office 5 days a week and would have actual company wide layoffs again so careful what you wish for.
That said, it still su-ks for the folks affected by finance transformation
@c2 as a recently acquired employee, we have had damn near everything changed with the vast majority making zero sense and adding bloat to process. It’s been quite amazing see how badly they can sc--w stuff up that was operating fine for a century. I’d name specifics, but it’s apparent that 80% of the workforce is in middle management and plenty of them lurk here
@an that’s a good one! I’ve always been impressed how this company operates in the sense that every BU or region seems to be its own little empire with its own marching orders and that when standardization or call to change the way things have been done is asked…they resist and continue to do whatever in the he-l they were doing to begin with and there never seems to be consequences. True standardization across this company would be monumental!
FORCE BU's to adopt common principles, ways of working, processes across the org rather than allowing them to cry and whine for each to get their special way. Central Functions are a mess, not because of poor leadership or workers, but because our CEO won't support standardization when it really comes down to it. On paper, yes, OF COURSE we want to simplify and standardize... oh... but not if CG, MA, MH yell loud enough. Now that MH is in charge, let's see if this changes.
