Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

I need to speak up about something but I know I'll get targeted if I do

HR is obviously there to protect the company, not me, so I am trying to figure out if I should go straight to senior leadership or if I have to go through my manager first and risk getting shut down before I even get heard. I'm avoiding saying what the subject is for anonymity purposes.

@bx yes exactly. First of all make sure your financial position is comfortable.

Don't go to HR or your direct Manager, they weigh between you and the party you are complaint against, they side with the powerful party, not you. They will create something against you in the records. So don't alert anyone, trust no one, give them a surprise with evidence.

'Document everything' , retain the original Emails/comm at your personal Email addresses. once you report, they could fire you and confiscate the work laptop immediately, so don't save anything on it.

Your Attorney will love to see the original communications ( they will be forensically proved to be original with date/time stamps )..

As an individual, you deserve to work and live with dignity, equality and fairness.
Employment is an agreement between 2 parties, not a bonded labor.

They may investigate as required but it could be managed and not make any difference ..the report results will come out the way they want it to..

Retaliation is not tolerated, so contact the ethics hotline and make a good faith report. If you get blowback from that, make another report documenting the retaliation.

Go to Ethics hotline. They have to investigate. Everything else get buried and this still likely will too... but, it is documented.

Send an email to HR on Monday. Keep a copy of the email you sent.

Send an email to your boss on Tuesday. Keep a copy of the email you sent.

After you get fired, have your lawyer sue for retaliation with your emails as evidence.

Enjoy your nice long vacation and start fresh at the next employer.

Have you learned nothing from Frank about how to exploit the company for your favor?

@OP Call or email the Ethics Hotline- it's not HR and trust me they DO deal with these things.

You are just going to cause an unnecessary headache for yourself. You are probably underpaid. Issues like this are above your paygrade and you most likely will not get a favorable resolution.

Either keep your head down and move on from the idea, or if it affects you deeply enough just try and move on and find another opportunity.

@OP Trust me, it won’t make any difference. I tried this before myself and was just told to not concern myself with the cheating of another team. After all, they weren’t getting paid millions!

Ignore whatever this burning issue is. It will be resolved, one way or another, by others.
