Why does nobody address the condition of the offices and the health hazards they may impose. Conditions are extremely unsanitary, and I believe as an organization we can do better…how do we gain some momentum in this regard as going into the office is required, but there is no care around, cleaning areas, and air quality is very questionable. Where do we start so we can improve?

@d6 They let go of a lease they had on the 3rd floor when they moved to this "new and improved! (?)" hotel seating system, which was mistake #1. I can't speak for the status of the Philly office since I was never there, but I'd guess the RPS leadership in Horsham wouldn't favor a move to a locale taxed at a 3+% higher than the burbs. My biggest concern would be both sites being consolidated in some Godforsaken single site in a place like Conshohocken, which would be an utter nightmare to commute to by comparison.
@d6 the bank probably has a lease in Horsham that is still years out, and it’s cheaper than Philadelphia and it’s taxes
@ab How did Horsham not get consolidated with the Philadelphia Hub? Only at 17 mile distance in a straight line.
@OP Expenses towards facilities hits the efficiency ratio hard.. The years under Grundhofer started the era of keep fixing things and then fix the repairs!
@bc sounds like you are describing the fourth floor of Charlotte! Looks like the children that walk around with the cell phones and puzzles. Are there on a bring your kid to workday, they dress like they’re going to summer camp glued to their phones and then they give them puzzles and plastic jewelry making kits in the kitchen. If this is the brand we’re going for and a filthy office. It’s not the look I’m going for.
Knoxville Hub is the worst. We have latte colored cubicles and carpet from the 90s (possibly the 80s), missing ceiling tiles with drainage hoses and disgusting bathrooms.
@aj It feels like being in a mental hospital or something. People walking around in big circles looking at their phones, half-finiahed puzzles everywhere. Ridiculous.
@ab When I was still in that building, I guess I was wise to use either the 1st or 3rd floor facilities instead!
Don't get me started on the trash left behind on our supposedly clean "hotel" seating areas either. Seemed like I came in to at least one candy wrapper or other nugget left behind a week.
Englewood, CO Hub. Used to be sparkling clean, well maintained, we had a great cafeteria and so many things going on. Now the "gathering areas" are full of benches that have completely worn down, carpets are dirty and torn, there is an odd weird smell walking towards the Elavon side of the building. The kitchens are barely cleaned - people leave food and spill coffee everywhere. Ew.
@aj it’s because any of the leaders that cared about the Columbia Center quit based on the toxic cultured or were severed before they could. Make USB great again?

Submit facilities requests and they won't be fulfilled.
Submit questions in the leadership meetings about it and they'll be deleted.
Submit through the new Workplace Excellence form and it'll probably be ignored, per the disclaimer about all ideas not receiving follow-up.
At this point, just submit a report to OSHA. Unless the Bank's hand is forced by an external authority, they won't do jack.
PSA if you work in Horsham, 90% of the men that use the restroom either don’t wash or very quickly rinse their hands with just water. Also more ur--e ends up on the floors than in the urinals that everyone then steps in and drags into the office space. Nasty!
Start by getting GK, EB and the corporate properties leader their walking papers. They have all destroyed morale while pocketing millions. Don’t let the fake stories from “journalists” fool you about momentum or how much employees love to work here. Offices are a dump and everyone working here knows it. National media needs to pick up on the falsehoods and how much the employee base hates GK and her MC.
