Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

What is needed for Honeywell to become great again?

How can we become a darling of the S&P500?

For aerospace, go back to the Airesearch business model. They had some best in class products that customers could not get enough of, and which were highly praised by customers and aerospace media alike. Aerospace still has the engineering talent to rebuild and there is still some of the critical manufacturing expertise left, although it is slowly disappearing.

Stock’s been barely flat in how many bull markets now? Personally for me its to invest in HONA and Solstice. Both seem like solid long term companies. Remainco is cooked.

To liquidate. There is no "becoming great", and "again" is arguable.

To become great again? We need Trump to run the company.

Copy GE. Pick a core product and then brutally cut everything else. Then invest and make that product the most reliable, most fuel efficient, and have the longest market tail. Stock responds by going up 600%.
At Honeywell that probably means abandoning avionics , engines, and focus on pure sensors. Sell everything else.
