Here is a solution for you, take the next three days off, preferably a sick leave that you will lose either way at the end of year.
Use the time to do something that jeeps you busy even if it is some errands around the house.
Check your email Thursday night and try to reach to some colleges Friday morning.
This should keep your mind a little bit off the work situation and gives you some control on when you are ready to get the news.
@OP assume you’ll be RIF’d and sleep easy. There is nothing you can do to prevent it from happening. You sound like you have already accepted the fact by stating “jobless or otherwise”. Take care of yourself.
