Thankfully, it seems like this thread has died for now. Someone mentioned layoffs for this week in the past. That looks to be wrong as it's pretty quiet around here. That's a good thing I'd say!

@109 We are all getting jelly of the month club subscriptions.
Is this meeting tomorrow about our Xmas bonuses?
@yq yes My team mate in offshore got invite too
It looks like several folks from the India side received a meeting invite for tomorrow, mainly from the Digital one as far as I know
November 19th has been confirmed as a Wednesday blood bath. Then later in the week, or the next week for a 2nd RIF round. I was told not just US staff either.
FIS can’t lay off staff that it doesn’t have/hasn’t acquired yet… Therefore this round would be FIS only.
Hello, TSYS team member here - Does this round of RIF concern only FIS folks or both FIS and current TSYS employees who are waiting anxiously to get their final confirmation that they will be moving over to FIS? And, any ideas how many will be RIFed in this round please ? 🙏🏽 wishing good luck to all.
Is it a certain level of staff like in prior runs or individuals too?
@fa Praying it doesn't fall on you.
@J2 Thanks for the detailed explanation. that’s usually how it works everywhere. I had earlier asked about specific departments to see if anything was confirmed. Last time we had some early D1 info and it turned out to be accurate, so I was just checking if something similar was floating around this time. Appreciate the clarity.
@ft ah, yeah. I see now that I must've remembered the wrong date. It looks pretty consistent here that the 19th might be a rough day. The best to all if so.
Two things - 1) with all that’s going on if you aren’t taking some precautions by at least updating your resume if not applying to other places that’s to your own detriment. Obviously no one wants to be without a chair when the music stops, but there are things you can do in case that happens in the meantime. 2) please understand when it comes to who gets affected. It’s a waterfall effect. A $ figure starts at the top and then it divided up into the segments That number is then divided up further divisions. That number again is now divided up into the solution. It is up to the head of the solutions in the division to decide which departments aren’t going to have layoffs. It could be your manager, deciding where it could be the solutions head manager deciding. But essentially if your manager of your department has to lay off $500,000, they can then decide to either do that with two people making 250,000 or five people making 100,000 each. So when you say which departments are being affected, it really starts at the top. Stephanie says we need to save X amount of money and and probably the McKenzie losers break out a spreadsheet that says half-and-half between banking and capital markets and then Peter Boyer says OK. We’re going to do a lot in digital and a little bit elsewhere. Finally, then doesn’t get decided which departments of digital and elsewhere will lose people. I hope that makes sense. He has occasionally an entire group will get whacked, but that’s more of a strategic layoff than the general ones that they seem to do. Hope that clarifies things.
@b9 is that in capital markets? Do you know which remits will be hit?
@OP sorry, but I've seen November 19th mentioned so many times that there has to be some truth to it. I don't wish this on anyone but that specific date has come up way too many times to ignore. And dates that are posted on this site have a knack for coming true. Good luck to everyone. Corporate bullsh-t as usual. We are all in the same boat just hoping it's not us that gets the boot.
I'm getting worried about this one. Normally my manager has the scoop because we agree to absorb teams or people but this time they are being silent.
Manager hinted “more changes around the corner”
@b2 I have heard many. This one sounds pretty deep and will affect all aspects of the business.
My manager told me Wednesday 19 for us and Thursday 20 for UK/Europe.
Yes November is a thing, conversations taking place.
@ay Correct. November 19th. Cross-department layoffs. Planning has started for another round in January as well. No end in sight.
Does anyone know what departments will be effected?
I’ve heard Nov 19.
The November rumored date that I had seen was next week, not this week.
