There is a rumor floating around from multiple sources that the bank is looking to cap severance at couple of weeks. Has anybody heard anything about this?

Shameful. Any current employees reading these chats that have been there a while should prepare. They absolutely do not care about you. Nearly 30yrs means NOTHING to them. I wish I left when I had my chances.
Be careful what you type on Teams
They now have AI programs constantly scanning chats and flagging things for manual review by HR
I know of a couple people that were put on warning recently for this in One Boston Place (which almost certainly means they will be let go without severance in January).
Also be very careful about speaking up in any Teams meeting that uses Copilot for the same reason
Even if you go on a PIP and meet at the end of it , they are swinging back around and letting you go because you were on one to begin with. This place is awful and needs to be reported for every dirty thing they are doing to people. Dont stay quiet
Capped? They are looking to hand it out to a very small minority. That’s called elimination.
They do not want to pay anyone. It seems staying here and ‘raising’ to their demands instead of ‘calling’ got us nowhere.
This happened to a friend of mine. She was given below expectations on one category and then when let go received 4 weeks severance despite being there for over 10 years with a good record prior.
I never heard any get Severance this year in my team. The last one was Sep 2024. Now they put the many good work hard to PIP, and they will go without Severance anytime.
@OP I know they are trying to alleviate how much severance people get that have been here a long time with loop holes. Like swearing on IM , missing RTO ever, late on trainings , not doing the 52hrs of extra training. Anything they can find that violates any policy they are doing to avoid longevity severance packages.
