Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Intelligrated

Who is going to buy Intelligrated? I’m hearing rumors it’s going to be Trew.

Intelligrated has several job openings now. They must be getting some business.

@8qr
I've heard that Honeywell's asking price is way too high given the destroyed customer base. All potential buyers have backed out. All is quiet with my contacts in Intelligrated.

I doubt Honeywell is interested in only selling parts of IGS, they’ll want to unload all of it.

I can imagine them buying just the healthy part and leave the rest.

Or be forced to buy everything and then keep palletizers, parts+services and Transnorm. Rest barely has any value and will be dumped quickly.

@OP Intelligrated’s Parts and Service generates about $200M+ annual revenue at a decent margin. In addition to its conveyor equipment the palletizers are considered the best in the business. Should a company like Trew purchase Intelligrated, they would could be a force in the industry and have the ability to offer turnkey material handling solutions for customers.

Honeywell and DA/JW effectively turned Intelligrated into scrap. Some parts are still good, but the rest is junk.

@g1 no chance amazon buys intelligrated. they have already moved on to invent solutions that leap frog all existing material handlers.

Company is a basket case of ego and appalling practices. Toxic work culture too. The sooner VimVim slices these guys off the better

@g1 Amazon can buy any company they want in the world and would invest a dime on a company that failed them miserably and don’t know anything other than bending metal. I am not sure if they would even take it for free.

I think it will be Amazon. AMZ has a need for new distribution systems and support for existing systems. Due to promises made by JW and DA, AMZ invested heavily in Intelligrated products. Honeywell totally failed to make good on their promises and failed AMZ in many ways. Thus AMZ shut them down and moved elsewhere only to find that no one could meet their requirements. Amazon wants to be the only one making money, very similar to the behavior of other large companies that I've been involved with.

Amazon is a tough company to work for but their pay and rewards can be the best for good performers. I hope that Amazon brings decent management to the long suffering employees of Intelligrated.
