Pretty generic comment. How many employees are you talking about? Awful quiet as it relates to layoffs other than this board.

60 day notices to occur before thanksgiving.... the organization changes 2 weeks ago had to occur first. The layering ahead of layoffs. The ivory tower folks had to post reqs for the people they want to bring in.... more consent ridden big bank flunkies.
I would like to know where this information came from. Is it a reliable source? Maybe additional information on who will be impacted. If it's definitely going to happen then it's time to update the resume before it's too late.
Agree with previous poster. Layoff is definitely coming. Not sure if OP was fishing/joking and was right by accident. October timing isnt correct. December announcement for a January layoff.
Will impact multiple organizations within Ally with big numbers. Was quoted a bit less than 1k employees.
@378 its still a rumor , let's see.. no idea on which LOB's yet.. Hopefully it stays as a rumor

Rumor is becoming more of a reality, hearing from more folks now that it is happening and also might be in January
Ongoing departures, reorganizations, and shifting responsibilities across teams have left us operating with minimal staff. The lack of clear communication has created an unsettled feeling.
It would be really helpful to have some sort of information instead of creating potentially undue fear and anxiety.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but they didn’t file WARN notices for the January layoffs until after everyone was told and immediately put on “garden leave”
To be honest....
it would somewhat be a RELIEF to finally get the axe!
