@17w wait, what? Tech is blood bath right now, so yes there will be bunch of people applying to any open position. But who in their right mind will work here? Children, if you work here, do not go tell your sitter that you are looking for option. They are looking to make everyone optional.
people being hired now are being paid top dollars with fat RSU packages as well. This only affects existing employees. Ask for a raise with your manager, if not tell him you are planning to look for options.
