That's because the down-voters are from HR, the Legal Dept. or MDs / Directors.
They don't want the truth getting out and they don't want employees comparing notes and homework.
Why are people down voting a poster about a hiring freeze. This is true and valuable information. I heard it as well. It's what companies do to try to look good for EOY closing of the books. It's why they are not filling backfilled positions and saving by not paying salaries/health insurance for a few months trying to look good.
@162 I heard the same. Even on backfill positions. Budget is locked down.
I heard all internal external hiring got freezed till next year. Is that true?
