I recently heard that a former CIO visited our security facilities with his new company. Isn't this something of a privacy concern? I would have expected our security teams to be less than enthusiastic about a former CIO wandering the premises to recruit staff.
Does anyone have more detail on what occurred, or perhaps why it was allowed?

You are correct. The Cincinnati security offices are, for all intents and purposes, a display piece. The more significant issue, however, is a error in the original post. The individual in question was the former CISO, whose non compete is expected to expire sometime around the holidays.
That distinction is important. I find it difficult to believe that the incoming CISO would have authorized a tour involving members of the outgoing regime, particularly given the circumstances surrounding the transition. That said, I would not rule it out entirely. Stranger things have happened. The more likely explanation is that the original post simply confused the former CISO with the CIO, which is a fairly significant distinction in this context.
The primary security office location in Cincinnati was designed to host partners, customers, and participate in community outreach. Tours are conducted frequently.
