Nike was always competitive

I just didn't ever expect to see it compete for the first place in the bad treatment of employees and most toxic work environment. I don't know how else to explain what's been going on here for the past several years. Things weren't perfect before... — read more

I have never adapted to this culture

I left a good, solid job because I always wanted to work at Nike. That was my dream job. I thought I was going to learn a lot here. However, from the first day I came here, it was clear to me that I would not easily fit into this machine. Whatever I... — read more

New employees

We can complain all we want, but for as long as there are new people who are willing to join and replace those who are leaving, nothing will change. Right now, most of the people who join are happy and satisfied with their jobs. I meet plenty of... — read more

"Push, push!" & "Jan 10th will be great!" Sigh.

Can't wait to all jam into the office on Jan 10, fight for conference rooms every day, watch people have nervous breakdowns, and listen to my boss cram the BS that "Working from the office is better" down our throats while the boss is trying to... — read more

Years of Experience at Nike

Odds are that you’ve been asked the omnipresent question “how many years have you been at Nike”. It used to be a badge of honor and old timers “knew more” than newer employees (and it might still be a badge of honor in some departments - like retail... — read more

Nike is now an old guard firm

Nike has reached the point of corporate maturity. It's now an old guard firm. It has sold out to Wall Street which only cares for numbers. It can no longer be truly innovative because the company culture now only supports team players, not creative... — read more

Nikeland

Nike’s marketing keeps evolving and that’s good, Roblox has a lot of potential, but I’m personally skeptical that Nikeland is a brilliant idea and that Gen Z will be thrilled about it. Any thoughts? (I realize it's not about layoffs but perhaps... — read more

Some things never change

A young guy who is relatively new went into a lengthy rant earlier this week about HR and how instead of helping him, it actually puts obstacles between him and relevant training, benefits, or whatever else it is they're supposed to be helping him... — read more

Be sure your boss knows how hard you work

What I have noticed is that many people think that just hard work is enough. No it's not. The boss needs to be aware of how hard you work. I say this from my own experience. While I was just doing the best I could, I was pretty stagnant. Ever since I... — read more

Women’s product??

Why is our Women’s product, particularly apparel, so far behind other brands? It has gotten better - but the fit, style, print - most of it is off the mark while every other brand nails it. Why?

Really returning Jan 10th?

Do you think we will really return on Jan 10th? I heard an HR rumor that a hard deadline had to be set in order to weed people out by the Dec 1st vaccine deadline. I also saw other companies like Apple are pushing it back to Feb and March. I’m... — read more

NIKE expects certain teams on campus now

Nike expects Nike HR and certain Tech teams to be on campus, before the RTW on Jan 10. WD&C also expects "all" admins to be onsite. I will be submitting an ER and I hope all admins do the same.

Disappointed.

Needless to say, I was disappointed to come to Nike. Why did I ever think I would find a dynamic, innovative environment here where hard work and engagement is valued? What a mistake!

“Competitive Hiring Process”

What a joke. NA keeps hiring lazy id--ts from Global and calling it a “competitive hiring process”. Let’s see if JR is given the job he’s not qualified for just like KP was. GT leading the way to show his lack of leadership and experience. — read more

Campus food is terrible

If some of the appeal of Nike is the sport facilities and campus the public school cafeteria lunch food certainly detract from that. The food is gross and we have to pay for it. How are we competing with tech talent again?

People are sticking around for severance
