DC is politically savvy leader who has been surviving for long time through various leaderships. Spends millions of $, delivers pretty powerpoint and leadership buys the stories that are being told without understanding. There is a large group of engineers in EDA and GAP that supports commercial analytics which adds millions of $ more in spending. Each GEO has is own version of commercial analytics organization. So overall, Nike spends significant $$$$$$$$$ on these groups. I know because I work at the intersection of this nexus.
Let's see, other than arguing for a whole week about the difference between an Epic and a Feature and who is responsible for what, they do not do much at all. I ran so fast out of there the moment I got the chance. EB, DC....wow!
Curious to hear if this is true. Not on this team, but work closely with them. 40% is a large chunk. It is so quiet that layoffs do feel like they are in the air.
