Topics regarding layoffs at Heald College

This page is beginning to look like the CCI page

is it just me or does anyone else see the same kind of mean, bullshit posts. People personally attacking each other, calling each other names, making shit up just to try to incite panic. Is this really what we have been brought down to?

I know a man who had a long career at a University

Now he is doing some work locally involving an aspect of healthcare. He called our local Heald campus, and then decided after talking with Heald, they did not offer him what he needed. Heald continued to call him for six months, and no matter how... — read more

Buyer Now in Place

From wikipedia: "Sweet Briar College will acquire Heald College, changing the name to Sweet Heald College." Looks like we can say "sweet" everytime we show up to level the educational playing field and change student lives. How do you spell 150 more... — read more

Heald instructors working in sales.

Heald instructors starting in April (assuming Heald is still in business) will be rushing before and after class to the salesroom due to recent layoffs due to lack of production by the current sales staff. Admin has decided that adjunct faculty are... — read more

Things are looking up

So I heard through a birdie on social media that things may be looking up. Heald has been good at keeping mums on buyers. But I do believe they are on to something. Is anyone else getting that vibe?

Heald folks - please visit the CCI layoff site

There are some raging racist posts from someone claiming to work in Student Services and live in the East Bay area. Really messed up stuff. You might want to take a look and consider who it might be if you work in the greater Bay Area.

The Corporations are to Blame

I am not Camden, but I think he/she would agree. In every area, whether its restaurants, retail, or profit education, corporations f**k things up. What does the college need really? Some admissions people, counselors, and faculty. Who is lowest paid... — read more

Looking to the Future and Seeing the Promise

Like so many Americans, I sat enthralled by the hit film “The Interns.” Watching the face of innovation right before us in Google as Luke and Vance toured the heart of future thinking was both exciting and inspiring. I would bet that many of you felt... — read more

Today's CCI SEC filings. The Execs are getting a retirement package as of the 9th of March, but they will stay on as consultants.

For the slow Heald employees, the execs have cashed out and their money is safely in their own bank accounts. So while you may not get paid, the execs are all set. Does that sound like Heald will be fine? That there is a buyer? Wake up people! Stop... — read more

Heald Recruits People in Homeless Shelters!

Get off your friggin' high horse that Heald helps people. Heald targets the most vulnerable making false promises, while crushing people with debt that they can't pay with the $12 jobs that Heald may help you get, if you are the "lucky" 50% who has... — read more

What is this innovation that is mentioned in so many posts? Is innovation bound to many mid-managers who make an awful lot of money?

And why, oh why, do you mention the same ole stale talking points? What is this elitism that is spoken of? Are state schools beneath most people? Is privatization the best? What exactly is a silver spoon - the brand new Lexus so many students drive? — read more

If Heald remains open, Education has won.

Ask a student what it would mean to lose a chance, maybe the only chance, at a college education because of politics. Elitism is alive and well. Education is what we have been fighting to deliver for 150 years, and the fight continues for everyone at... — read more

If Heald remains open, the AG has lost.

If Heald remains open then the California AG has lost. She really hasnt taken down any of the schools , just moved them over to a new name. The bad CA schools (Everest Hayward and San Francisco) were already closed anyways. Why would she then allow a... — read more

CCI or Heald will do what they think they should to remain relevant, but the damage is done. To remain competitive, these schools must go

one up, not two down. If Heald cuts education requirements, then so be it. The Heald degree/diploma mill will be even more useless. Businesses all over the state, in numerous polls and research, already want employees that are more qualified in the... — read more

Heald is a fraud and should be shutdown.

Heald is a fraud and should be shutdown being told by dissatisfied Heald graduates to the California Attorney General. When Heald was told that by the AG then "all of a sudden" the petition drive to "save the Heald" was canceled.
