Thread regarding Heald College layoffs

When an innovator appears, there is always some pushback.

The old guard despises innovation, as it cuts into their profits. These dinosaurs entrenched in the old ways of doing things also fear for their own jobs. Seeing all of those arguing that Heald should be closed only further bear out this point. Think back 100 years to what Mr. Ford was doing with manufacturing innovation. Brilliant...but unsettling for many. Even thirty years ago Misters Jobs and Wozniak changed how we would work, play, and communicate. Again...many pushed back, exposing their own fears. I don't need to share the roll call of innovators at Heald over the past 150 years, but the ranks are many, and these forward-thinkers still dwell among us all today--both is body and spirit. We know who they are, and we will be talking about the absolute change in education that took root right below our feet at Heald for decades. Keep the faith everyone, because we know what the college does to change lives for students. Heald is back. Watch it grow. Watch it thrive. Watch it Heald.

One thing is for sure. Heald does a great job at brainwashing some of its employees.

Is this because of the new programs? It was not clear about what these are. it seems like shorter classes and then shorter degrees. Is that it?
