Topics regarding layoffs at CVS

"Analyst", I wonder how many are from MPOs?

"The Woonsocket-based company filed a WARN notice with the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training on Monday about the impending job cuts. According to the notice, the layoffs will be effective between Dec. 8 through Dec. 21, 2024." "What... — read more

When's the Q3 earnings call?

As the title states, when's the call? These are the calls where KL's head gets put on the chopping block, she gets pi---d and starts firing her leadership team like BK! I've got some popcorn ready to go for this show.

Layoffs as a weekly thing

Are we now at the stage where layoffs have become a weekly thing? Just when I think we're done, we hear about even more cuts. When will it be enough? Who does the leadership - if I can call them that - expect to do the actual work if they continue... — read more

Failed leadership for hurricane in the state of Florida

Our division VP and regional directors have failed in their roles as leaders to make a decision waiting until 3 o’clock 24 hours before a category five hurricane hits just so you can get that last-minute sale is disgraceful and dereliction of duty... — read more

Cognizant

Laying off all Aetna CVS employees. However they are hiring cognizant employees. Sorry

This will not end anytime soon, it seems

This is horrible. So many people affected. Nobody knows if they are the next. Vast majority of us can’t afford to be without a job for a week, let alone months on end. This is not the best workplace, but in this economy and with the job market as it... — read more

Senior Leadership posts on LinkedIn they are crazy...

Layoffs going on, yet leaders posting on LinkedIn what a great place CVS is to work. What a bunch of insensitive out of touch clowns. This message is outright comical. Empathy.... bwhahahaha ____________________________ Working at CVS Health... — read more

Roles affected

Can’t believe it’s happening but also am concerned for those in other positions as well. How high up do these go..? Are directors being laid off too? I can’t even fathom having to start over now, I’m miserable at best but have been overworked for... — read more

Next week

Any news about next week? Will there be more cuts?

CVS going to be like Sears

It has been over four years since I last handed CVS money for anything. CVS isn't doing well. Although I'd like to take credit, the truth is more and more people have simply had it with CVS. Now the local 24 hour CVS isn't even 24 hour anymore... — read more

With the end of the year approaching

Ask yourself this: Do I trust this leadership? Do I see a good future for myself here? Once you answer them, start looking for a new job (since I'm certain not many will answer with a "yes" to either of them).

Why some many jobs

Why are there like 23,000 open jobs ? Are these just all fake jobs ? Also wanted to get people's opinion. If someone who was laid off, should try to get another internal job or only look outside of CVS ?

I can't get over it

When I learned I was let go, I thought the severance package would ease the blow and keep me from feeling upset. But after being kicked out with hardly a "thank you" after all my years of commitment, the package feels empty. It's tough to accept that... — read more

No Smoke Without Fire

The recent buzz surrounding CVS planning to split has raised eyebrows, with the higher management dismissing these claims as mere rumors. This tactic seems to serve the purpose of calming employees and ensuring they stay committed to the company... — read more

Clarification on next year's layoff plans..

Many of you believe there is fearmongering going on about supposed layoffs in 2025, but you are fooling yourselves if you haven't picked up on the trend and financial downhill performance.. stop pretending that there is no evidence for massive... — read more

CVS thought it merged with Aetna, but it really didn't

We make a mistake when we say CVS merged with Aetna, or CVS acquired Aetna. The CVS that planned that deal, chose to buy Aetna over the other finalist target company, sold the deal to the Board, and executed the purchase, has completely disappeared... — read more

Let's Avoid Hostile & Toxic Environment

I may get downvoted but someone has to say it. This recent layoff has revealed that organization rewards: yes-people easy-to-work-with talking but knows when to shut up and punishes: people asking questions to ensure less problems or... — read more

Let's talk reality

In store pharmacy industry is dying. More so apparently post COVID-19. People are use to ordering their prescriptions through an app or through PCP , urgent care, and dare I say online delivery. They don't want to walk into a store and buy over... — read more

This has been a horrible week

I’ve been with CVS for a long time. Dodged the bullet this week, but I’m approaching 50, which is considered a very old age in the corporate world, so I’m preparing to be let go at the first next opportunity. I have been very saddened with all the... — read more

Ideas for cost savings

I am too low on the totem pole to have my voice be heard on some ideas to reduce costs, so hopeful someone higher on the pole can raise these for me. Some of these ideas may already be in play. I do not know. To help us recoup money and meet... — read more

This company can't afford talented engineers

Which basically means that it will always lag its peers on a technology level. If you earn 120k or so as senior IC they view as a cost that needs to be offshored asap. Which is ridiculous when these days you make 100k out of grad school.

Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, there existed a magical company that truly cared about its employees. “Where is this land?” you ask. Ah yes, let me tell you the tale of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, where Stanley and Sidney Goldstein founded... — read more

Question and observation about stores and warehouses.

So the last two layoffs, this year and 2023, CVS wouldn’t give any details about said layoffs. Except they were very quick to say that the store colleagues and distribution centers would not be affected. I wonder why they were so quick to point... — read more

Wanna be Amazon and Walmart

The aqustion of Aetna was a good forward thinking idea at the time of Larry and Bertilini. But where are the two now? They made their money and retired. Just like so many after them with the expectation of Karen which I predict she will follow suite... — read more
