I will say I am glad to see one of the most toxic, degrading and demeaning MDs leaving. She would yell at her managers if she had low VOE scores, demean her managers in front of others and degrade them. If you worked there you know who I am talking... — read more

I’m tired of interviewing and getting ghosted

All the medical plan cost is rising in January without any hikes this year. If you are not aware, check in CIti's compensation and benefits website.
The company is rooted with Politics
I recently joined Citi around 2 years ago. Over these 2 years, I noticed several cheap politics being played around. #1. Vendors: Vendors give holiday party and perks to Citi employees for hiring their employees. Citi managers eat and drink on... — read more

Thank you, BCG
I heard someone says BCG is involved in the decision to "reorganize" and layoff. My reaction is - oh.. that explains it.
Holiday party
We make the firm so much $$$ and we don’t even have a nice holiday party.
Secret Job Openings
Seems like a large number of jobs (at DIR/MD) are very quietly opening up internally. . . and very quietly being filled. Recent example: new head of MCA. Anyone else heard/experienced the same thing?
Typically Citi
This forum really showcases the toxicity in Citi. We are supposed to be here to discuss insights into layoffs across the business. Instead we have s-xists, racists, bigots, judgemental a--holes, and know it alls. Barely anything productive being... — read more
Everybody I know is looking for a new job
Including me, of course. People are fed up. Many of us are not even going to wait to see what will happen in January, even if it means leaving severance behind. That's how badly we want out of this mess. I don't know if that was the aim or not, but... — read more
Remove the extra layers by getting rid of 300 and replacing them with 304 more.
This is where the Benny Hill chase music starts playing. Well done Jane, well done. You should give yourself another multi million dollar raise for that one. Again keep Jane if you want more of the same.
9 new MDs in HR?
Is there no one else wondering what the devil these people did to make MD? Cut Citi’s contribution to benefits the most? Made Workday as unusable as possible? That is 3% of the total.
Treatment of employees and contractors
While there I suffered retaliation for reporting tista, verbal abuse, demeaning verbiage and all kinds of treatment that proves they don’t care about anyone who works for them. This is not a company worth working for. I would live under a bridge... — read more

Layoffs and loss of talent has left us with the worst possible management
People who knew what they were doing were kicked out. Those who know how to kiss the right behinds and nod their heads in affirmative to everything they are told are still here. If you were wondering why Citi was failing and becoming such a toxic... — read more

Phase 3 is before Xmas or so they say
So I’m hearing that Phase 3 layoffs (not sure at what level though) will be wrapped up before Xmas. Perhaps so as to avoid bonus payments…. Anyone else heard this ?
Do they allow for laid off employees to work during WARN period?
Because if they don’t then that means it would be really difficult to find internal opportunities during WARN period without having access to the system. I hope it’s something they can do if we ask/negotiate?
It’s going to be “brutal”

Will they be 50% of what they were last year? Zero? Same? Surely some senior management folks on here who can share what they have heard
