Update On Future Layoffs
Today I was informed by an individual who is intimately close with someone two levels down from Jane, that they will continue to routinely layoff folks in very small amounts for the foreseeable future; this is part of Citi's so called "refinement and... — read more
Always the wrong ones being let go
So many valuable employees have been let go. It seems like each round of layoffs has shielded the less competent ones, for whatever reason. It's getting more frustrating to see the competent ones being pushed out while the ones who aren't... — read more
Direct report
I am a SVP with three direct reports. Will and can I remain as a manager? I love managing people and may quit if not given the chance to showcase my leadership skills
What’s the come?
Can someone provide insight on what’s coming next? Do we know there will be an additional 15,000 employees laid off? Is the worst of it over?
Is anything happening on Apr 15th other than tax day of course?
That date keeps coming up in meetings with no details. “After the 15 of April, we will see” and such.
Site visits from senior management this week
What has your experience been with these visits this week?
Right now Citi reminds me of freshly new roadkill in its death throes spasms.
I have doubts as to the sustainability of it all. MD direct reports fluctuating several times a day, two steps forward, three steps back, 1 step to the side, people being shuffled to and fro several times in a week. Clearly there’s no direction, no... — read more
Can directs be same C level as manager?
In new org structure, can directs be same C level as his/her manager or they must be one or more level lower? For example, can a C15 manager have a C15 employee reporting to him/her?
What is the minimum number of direct reports a manager can have?
We've heard all sorts of misinformation the past few days, with some on here saying managers are required to have a minimum of 8 people reporting into them -- which we know is not true. Then, I heard the correct number was 6. Now, I'm hearing that... — read more
Citi Always Declinces to Comment
In EVERY publication about Citi layoffs, it always says when asked, Citi declined to comment. If these publications had any brains, they would come here for the real scoop.
Can I job hunt externally?
Recently given notice of layoff at the beginning of the week, and so far I have received no communication at all from HR. A part of me feels like applying internally is just a waste, but I have been applying externally, as I'm sure that would be the... — read more
Has anyone heard nothing? O&T email to say changes have been implemented?
I haven’t heard anything is that a good sign. I am on vacation
Layoffs in ERA?
Any rumors or info to be prepared just in case?
Anyone from Getzville?
Did they explain the exit package aka severance to you? My layoff was a three minute zoom meeting. No paperwork, expectations or payout expectations or anything else. Just said H.R. would contact me. No set timetable or anything
Project Management Offices layoffs
Are there any layoffs at DPMO,FPMO, OPMO and CPMC. Not clear on restructuring of PMO across Citi as well.
🐃 no explanation of severance
Getzville, N.Y. Does anyone know when Citi communicate the exit package aka severance package. Laid off 4 days now and no communication from H.R.
Presence unknown status
Does it mean they got laid off,? they were only few hours ago.
Can we get the definition of fired and laid off correct?
They are totally different! If you were laif off, you were NOT fired!
Jacksonville, Florida
Anyone heard of any layoffs in Jacksonville?
Any Visa Holders ?
Just curious if any visa holders got affected ? or only Citizens and PR holders ? If Visa holders, then we can rehire in some teams.
Manager accountability
"People don't leave jobs, they leave managers" couldn't be more true than right now. I see so many polarized posts on here and feel a lot correlate to whether someone has a supportive, encouraging leader or an unqualified, self-preserving who has... — read more
Bye bye Citi

Risk/OP unchanged
I wonder when my team will get hit. I’m not aware of anyone impacted in the big umbrella under my director. It’s odd and having so many of us remote, I was positive we were going to be impacted this quarter. My theory is that they are going to keep... — read more
Is citi going to open job requisitions after 15th April.
I am hearing that there will be positions opened after 15th. Did anyone else hear about this. Also are they going to backfill critical positions through more hiring from vendors.
Demotion and Reduced pay
I'm a director, make $250k, was asked to take a massive pay cut (down to $125k); however, they're giving me an unlimited dinning pass at the cafeteria and a cot in the old janitor's closet (they were laid off, though not sure if I'd be required to... — read more

What is happening in CPB and IPB?
Heard a lot of staff in the CPB business are now changing roles and have new positions in IPB. Are those two LOBS combining? Or are they doing away with one?
I haven’t had any update yet - anyone else the same?
I would have thought I’d have heard something by now? Seems a bit unusual when I know others have had update and aren’t the org charts due out tomorrow?
Why is there so much conflicting information?
“ Citi people who survive this week might be tempted to breathe a sigh of relief. However, this could be premature. This is just the end of phase one. Citi said in January that it plans to cut 5,000 jobs from the managerial delayering, 5,000 from... — read more

Prepare for a reduction in pay.
Those notified of “you’re no longer an AVP or VP”….you’ll see it affect your pay. Management has been told to not bring it up unless asked. I have no idea as to how fast this will happen but it will be taking place.
