There will be two more rounds of layoffs. A small group before Christmas, and some after the new year. Somewhere in between, we will re-level. Some MD’s and SVP’s will experience one of the other of: a.) Keep the title and get a reduction in... — read more

Year End Promotion
How many new MD can we see for 2025? 300 or more this time ? Can Citi able to eliminate SVP role ?
To the guy who always, every day, uses the word “ $hittybank”, you are losing your audience.
You’ll start off with a decent point or argument but when you start using “ $hittybank”, people stop paying attention. Especially when you start ranting. Plead your case, make it civil and you’ll get a better response or even higher + rating. — read more

Are any jobs safe from being moved overseas?
Tired with this dirty politics
Guys can someone help me with internal movement process (looking for outside too, nothing able to crack) it's a sh-t I am stuck not sure how to come out
Leveling yada….
The problem is not the level, its the pay scale. You have a developer and he’s/she’s top notch and deserves top notch pay. You have to make them an SVP at the upper end of the payscale to pay them what they are worth so that they don’t leave for... — read more
Human Resources - considered the worst department in the company
The HR department is not there for the employees and is not reachable. Processes drag on unnecessarily, and no help is provided. It is inaccessible to external inquiries, and overall, it is considered the worst department in the company. They work in... — read more

Layoff Staff Rehire
I am disgusted to see in some loc. such as EMEA, layoff staff rehired after couple of months in different position after having big fat checks.
Disgusting.
Once again, we’ll see the same ole, same ole, where Jane gets a significant bonus + raise and everyone else will get nothing. This coming up review rewards will be even worse if that’s even possible. The hammer has come down at a high level the... — read more

PTO payout missing after layoff
Hoping someone can help. I was laid off in February and Citi still has not paid out my PTO/vacation days, about 10 days (8 from rollover and 2 from accrual). HR initially said that they days would be paid out with my last severance check in August... — read more
Anybody take COBRA?
I believe COBRA is free for so many days (while you decide if you want it), unless you need it then you start paying. Is that correct? If you do take COBRA, can you stay on it until age 65 (Medicare)? Also, did anyone take Citi's COBRA or is... — read more
Follow the rule
All this moaning and groaning, speculation and anxiety can all be dealt with by following one rule. “Care about the company, as much as the company cares about you.” Once you embrace this, the rest of it melts away.
My productivity is dipping due to layoff anxiety
I'm feeling like I'm going to self-prophesize myself into being cut due to this. I'd laugh if it wasn't sad and terrifying.
Inspired.
I’ve been watching this site for a long time now. What I find informative are the posts that are heckled at as a half truth troll post and when you fast forward months maybe even longer and it unfolds as exactly as it was posted. Many of the... — read more

Active %? Inactive %
Has anyone else been told that you’re subject to a new metric that records if you are working and at your desk for your whole shift?
Maybe Senator Warren is right and its time to break up Citi.
Maybe she has a point, Citi is too big to manage. Either Jane is doing the best she can but is out of her depth and can’t manage effectively OR she does know how to manage on an enterprise scale but Citi is just too huge. Thoughts?

Year End Reviews
Why? Why? Why? Year end reviews are pointless.
Who knows every thing they are at lower levels, who knows nothing they are higher levels.
its the problem of Citi, lower lever can not give directions and higher level dont know how to give direction. its a loop.

Is Internal mobility real?
Does Citi actually support internal mobility? I’ve never heard back from even lateral positions that need my exact skill set. I’m wondering if these positions are real or do they just post internally for rules sake.
