Armed guards?

I've seen armed guards referenced in a number of posts. I certainly saw more security during the ROM's but I didn't see armed guards. Where was this happening?

Ex-Employee.

I'm not a troll but a former employee who was let go after 27 years of unblemished service. The layoff process was humiliating and embarrassing to all who endured. Armed security guarding the "layoff communication rooms" was particularly... — read more

At least one good thing has come out of the 'getting more efficient' drive in Chevron. As of January 1, 2016 D&C employees (at least DWEP) no longer have to submit a mandatory behavior-based safety (BBS) observation per month. While it did make sense... — read more

Great Material Here

I did not know that Chevron had so many people with a talent for dry, cynical, sharp-witted, bitter and sarcastic humor. This board is better than the movie Office Space. I could use these postings as a script for a new movie. Keep it up. Every time... — read more

Chevron reduced personnel by 1200 at Gorgon. This is probably part of the 6000-7000 layoffs announced recently, which is separate from the various ROM's in Houston. You can find articles about this. Oh, well.

We need to kick start the economy

The job creators are the middle class and poor, there represent 90% of all consumers. Without customers, no business adds any jobs, when all gains from growth go to the top, the overall economy suffers. That's what's happening right now.
