FBO transition to Accenture

I know there has been a number of comments regarding the FBO transition to Accenture and that it appears to be temporarily on hold. I'm retired now (L2) but was in that organization for a number of years. Can anyone tell me what the original timeline... — read more

The $6B TMobile Breakup Fee all told

Cost ATT more than $100B. The spectrum they lost they had to go back out and reacquire at a premium and what TMobile did with that cash and spectrum has cost ATT far more than $80B in lost profits over the past decade. TMobile's growth % after that... — read more

Finally done with AT&T

Yesterday was one of the happiest days of my life, I filed my last tax return with an AT&T W2. I was laid off October ‘18, and it was the best thing to happen. Don’t believe the BS randy preaches, opportunities are abundant outside the Death Star.

TMobile and Sprint are going to eat

ATT Wireless Lunch morning, noon, and night. They won't set their cross hairs on Verizon bit it will be open season on ATTs subscriber base. They can barely maintain it now.

For the younger guys LEAVE!! AT&T is a career dead end

I am seeing a lot of people 5 years in with the company desperately trying to leave or got surplus and can't find a job. You are not learning anything worthwhile!!! The key is to look at what you are doing now. If you are doing anything you can't... — read more

Calling it quits and found another job.

More secure and more rewarding. The stress and waiting for the axe had me drinking more, sleeping less, and just not feeling it. 16 years, some good, some bad, but the past 3-4 have been just no man's land with no progression or good feelings about... — read more

They wanted me to go to India for

2 Weeks to train. I asked if there were incentives for me to go to India and the response I got was "A Better Transition". I nearly laughed in their face and declined. They really thought they could get people being shown the door to go to India to... — read more

Like a pack of African Wild Dogs working a Buffalo

They just nip and pick at the legs non stop. Little by little but very quickly until the buffalo can't stand any longer and goes down. They literally eat the buffalo while he is still alive. All long he was just too slow and meaty for the dogs who... — read more

Benefit of retirement?

I’m almost 40, and am about 13 years from retirement. I guess I’ve made it a little over 1/2 way. I’m not currently surplussed, but am so tired of being stressed that any day could be that call. I see a lot of companies are hiring, and I’m so... — read more

Non commutable job offers and unemployment

Lets say you are surplussed and decline a non-commutable job offer. You "leave the service of the companies" and collect severance based on years of service. Can you also collect unemployment since technically the company let you go or is death... — read more

Stankey and Stevenson handed a

Gatling Gun to TMobile along with lots of bullets. TMobile didn't hesitate and they didn't miss. Who does this? The same crew that buys Direct TV on the brink of massive cord cutting. You can't make this stuff up. Ten plus years of buffoonery and... — read more

DIRECTTV is a JOKE, biggest drag on AT&T by far

What happened?

Most companies have layoffs, and some bad leaders mixed it. It’s just the nature of corporations. I think most who sign up to work at a large corporation expect that going in. But something is different here. It’s not just BAU corporate America... — read more

ATT overpaid into an era of Content

Fat Cat
